I’ve collaborated with engineers, stakeholders, marketing specialists, developers, architects, graphic designers, and contractors in my career as a workplace Interior Designer turned Product Designer.
The best way to approach a project is to walk in the user's shoes. I take the time to understand and analyze before I even think about stepping into a design.
Finding not only a solution, but the best solution is a tough task. I take it head on - If we don't explore all options, how do we know the one we pick is best?
Once you've done thorough research, making design decisions comes easily and beautifully. I can work in several different design softwares, but figma is *chef's kiss*.
I have been in and around the design industry for about seven years now, the first three in the interior design field, designing workplaces.
I always had empathy for the employees of the large corporate headquarters I was designing for and still, I never felt like we did enough research to fully understand their needs and solve the problems that they were facing in their space. Unfortunately, it just didn’t seem like much of a priority in interior design.
When I found UX four years ago, I found myself craving that advocacy for users and decided to take the leap and make the career shift to product design.
you can usually find me behind my camera, one of my several house plants or a KitchenAid mixer. I am a dog mom, Green Bay Packer fan, and cheese curd addict.
